Josh (Zach Woods, Skeletor from The Office) is a bear who gets dumped after oversleeping hibernation. He’s consoled by his friends; a racoon named Ray (Nick Kroll), a doe (June Diane Raphael), and a lesbian fox (Sabrina Jalees). Together they struggle with relationships and mammal stuff. There’s a few good cameos from big talents such as Pamela Adlon as a Milf racoon (Bobby Hill), Jason Mantzoukas as an unstable badger (too many to tell here), Matt Rogers as a mouthy gay ferret (real life mouthy gay and award winning recording artist) and Timothy Olyphant as an untamable wolf (Joel Mchale look-a-like runner up).
The best gag is when they’re bored and looking for entertainment, they get a box of mice cleverly called Miceflix. Gilmore Squirrels and Friday Night Mice are some of the better references. There’s also a nice joke about the Fox being from Canada (Canadian Robin!), and Timothy olyphant being all over everything, because he’s a wolf. Overall, I don’t think this would be a show Kara would like but its culturally significant enough for me to cover it here. However, if you wanna know what “The Thing” is and why “it works every time” you’ll have to at least watch episode 5 “The Hot Mess” p.s. i recommend this one because it has Pamela Aldon as a woman, kinda rare to see.
